Overview
Régnard, one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Chablis, was founded in 1860 by Zéphir Régnard. In 1984, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette purchased Régnard and has perpetuated the style and tradition of the wines ever since.
The Macon appellation consists of 43 villages. This controlled appellation covers about 1,937 acres devoted to producing excellent red wine. Yield is limited to 580 gallons per acre, which ensures the wine's fruitiness.
Winemaking
The grapes are picked by hand, followed by an alcoholic and malolatic fermentation in vats. The wine is then matured in vats before fining and bottled.
Tasting Notes
A beautiful clear and limpid ruby red. A delicate bouquet dominated by the aromas of red fruit (raspberries and strawberries) with notes of liquorice. The palate is round and supple supported by light tannins.
