"Winemaker Heidi von der Mehden says the aim is for red fruit and earth notes coupled with brighter acidity and brighter tannins, and this 2020 release showcases many of those qualities. Leads with crunchy red fruits all laced with cedar spices, and there are plenty of fresh, earthy pine forest notes to remind us we’re on the Sonoma Coast, where vineyards are surrounded by fog-soaked woodlands. Medium- to full-bodied, it’s undoubtedly a fuller expression of Pinot Noir laden with black cherry, cocoa nibs and an orange peel freshness framed by ironstone minerals, bay laurel and sagebrush."

“This chardonnay is apricot ripe, a broad wine that contrasts buttered toast flavors and the cool feel of tingly acidity. Golden and chewy. For a lobster roll.”

“Lemon-gold in color, this wine has a nose of brioche, vanilla and clove baking spice, Bosc pear, golden apple and hay. On the palate, it is impressive and complex. Limestone on the midpalate is bolstered by toast and wet stone. Drink now, but the wine could also benefit from one to three years of additional aging.”

“This is a bright, mineral-driven Sancerre with flinty aftershocks. The nose suggests green apple, brioche, crushed shells, toast and white blossom. On the palate, racy acidity rests on a limestone base that enhances florality.”

“A graceful white, light-bodied and lithe, with pretty notes of elderflower and ginger accenting a finely meshed range of white peach and melon fruit and a minerally underpinning of smoke, saline and graphite. Lightly tangy and fresh on the spiced finish. Drink now through 2025.”
